Protective Current Transformer are used to convert current/ voltage from one value to another lower standard value. A current transformer serves two basic functions:

- To provide a standard current on the secondary which is typically 5 Amps or 1 Amp and
- Provides dielectric isolation of primary from the secondary.
- Current Transformers are generally used for measurement and or protective applications. In measurement Current Transformers one is concerned with the accuracy of the secondary current over a wide operating range.

Constructional Features Of Current Transformers:
- Current transformers can be of the ring type, bar primary type, or the wound primary type. We, at NAVAGO use Electrolytic Grade Copper for the primary and secondary winding. In ring and bar primary type current transformer, the primary ampere turns [AT] is fixed and is equal to, the primary current. Special Current Transformers
